How To Loose And Get Rid Of Love Handles

Love handlesLove handles are called the area comprised of the fat that people get around their middle waist, covering the outermost part of the oblique muscles. It is because of their position on the body that they have been called with this smart name. Unfortunately, this fat around people’s mid-section can lead to a higher risk of heart disease and for this reason it is imperative to exervice and diet to get rid of those love handles as much as possible. When you diet and exercise love handles, you can get rid of that spare tire you’ve been hauling around. If you’re serious you will need to keep track of all you eat and drink each day and keep your intake between 1200 and 1500 calories for normally active people. A calorie chart is a helpful way to determine accurately how many calories are contained in the foods you eat and you should write it down.

Crunches

Performing crunches is a great way to reduce those love handles. Instead of doing normal crunches, pull up your left elbow towards the right knee and vice versa.

Torso Twists

A great way to warm up is to do torso twists. You create a motion like a windmill twisting from side to side putting your hand to the opposite foot.

 

Bicycle Motion

Another great way to exercise love handles is by performing the bicycle exercise. Take the elbow to the opposite knee as you simulate riding a bike while your hands are at the side of your head to keep balance. It’s the twisting motion that works the love handles.

Jabs

Jab at a punching bag to get a core workout that will remove love handles. If a punching bag is not available, just punch the air. Stand with feet shoulder length apart and one arm at a time punch out, twisting the waist with each punch. Perform as many of these “air” punches at a time as possible for at least one minute, repeat five times.

Pull Ups

For pull-ups you’ll need a door bar or perform it at the gym. You hang on the bar with your arms, while pulling up your legs using abs and side obliques. Also twist your body from left to right to left.

Ball Crunches

If you have an exercise ball, lay on the floor and place your legs on top the ball. Now twist your upper body up and to the right while holding hand behing your head. Then back down and again up and to the left. Keep repeating until you feel a burn in your abs.

Diet

Drink a glass of skim milk each day. The enzymes in milk supposedly help the body digest food easier, which can lead to less bloating and a slimmer waste line. It is also important to keep track of what foods cause bloating and avoid them. Eat lean proteins, whole grains and lots of fruits and vegetables for a healthy and detoxicating diet.
