Supplement for Weight Loss

The Acai Berry

The Acai Berry is a small grape-sized berry that grows in the Amazon Rainforest of Brazil. Natives of the region have harvested this berry as part of their diet for hundred of years.

Acai is a natural anti-oxidant and has long been believed to have cancer fighting properties. Believing is one thing, but actual clinical research is quite another. In 2006 the University of Florida took on the study of Acai and published a ground breaking study in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

The study stated that Acai berries triggered a self-destruct response in up to 86 percent of leukemia cells tested in vitro. In the current UF study, six different chemical extracts were made from ACAI fruit pulp, and each extract was prepared in seven concentrations. Four of the extracts were shown to kill significant numbers of leukemia cells when applied for 24 hours. Depending on the extract and concentration, anywhere from about 35 percent to 86 percent of the cells died.

The cancer fighting properties of Acai, while impressive, are only scratching the surface of the health benefits it can provide.

The Acai Berry’s natural combination of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, amino acids, phytosterols, and amino acids work together to help your body function better, process food easier, and burn fat more efficiently. The same anti-oxidants shown to fight cancer, have also been shown to purify the system and give you more energy throughout the day!

Keep you colon clean and you stay healthy

Colon Cleansers

Colonics have been hawked as everything from a toxin remover to a cancer cure. But they only do what your intestinal system does already. Enemas, laxatives, or passing a rubber tube through your rectum and pumping water in and out can be expensive and dangerous. “There’s no evidence that colon cleansing is necessary,” Siegel says. And experts say long-term cleansing can cause anemia, malnutrition, infection, intestinal damage, and even heart failure.

Why Men Marry Bitches

Posted by: Angel on March 26, 2009 | Category: Romance | Comments (0)

611px-braided_pigtails1You’ve heard that nice guys finish last, but what about nice girls? In this excerpt from her book Why Men Marry Bitches, author Sherry Argov reveals why men actually prefer a confident, secure woman (Argov’s definition of the word bitch) to one who lets her man take the reins in a relationship. She surveyed real men, who spilled exactly what makes or breaks their opinion of the women they meet — and it turns out that having your own life, making your own plans and not letting him win all the time only makes you more attractive.

Thoughts from men:

Number 1

She goes for the heart through the stomach

All that fluffy talk about the sensuality of food contains morsels of truth, especially when the sweaty, apron-clad woman making it is doing so purely for your benefit. And it won’t just be the kitchen that’ll heat up if you start feeding each other with your hands. So eat up and enjoy. If you thank her the right way, you might even get out of doing the dishes.
